: Fast and Furious 3
boostin89 05-09-2006, 12:46 AM havn't seen this posted yet... so... Who thinks F&F3 will ruin drifting? I want opinions. the first F&F almost killed hondas w/ police, but it helped the aftermarket support. Its a double edged sword IMO. What does everyone think?
aka kactabigun 05-09-2006, 08:39 AM I think its good for the Jap car market and performance part industry.
But putting Jap cars up against American muscle cars is bolloxs.
Kids watch this stuff and spend there hard earned cash on there cars. makeing them better, instead of pissing it up the wall or worse.
These films need more action. :D
boostin89 05-10-2006, 09:59 AM ya, it's one of those movies that everyone's gonna talk crap about, but you know everyone's going to see it. lol. After the 1st F&F came out, kids were racing out of the theater, so this'll def spurr some drifting, but im still gonna see it.
Hagar 05-10-2006, 10:13 AM ya, it's one of those movies that everyone's gonna talk crap about, but you know everyone's going to see it. lol. After the 1st F&F came out, kids were racing out of the theater, so this'll def spurr some drifting, but im still gonna see it.
what i couldn't understand about that film was that the supe couldn't go over 140 without nitrous, are american cars limited because of emmisions or something?
boostin89 05-10-2006, 10:25 AM Yeah, we have top speed governors on every car. Not sure what the mk4 supras is though. That movie had alot of flaws, like when they zoomed in on the rx7 engine and it had cylinders... but it's a rotary...
Hagar 05-10-2006, 10:33 AM Yeah, we have top speed governors on every car. Not sure what the mk4 supras is though. That movie had alot of flaws, like when they zoomed in on the rx7 engine and it had cylinders... but it's a rotary...
around where i live 17 year olds do 140 in their dad's company cars, mind you a lot of them die in car crashes. you can squeeze 130 out of most family cars around here if you have a straight enough road and there are no speed camera's. and there are very few places left without cameras in the uk - b&stards!
boostin89 05-10-2006, 03:35 PM I bet you after the movie comes out, rwd cars that can drift are gonna skyrocket in price, and become hard to find. And the police are gonna "crack down" on drifting, now im not condoning street drifting but the more police are looking for "drift cars" the more people like us will get pulled over. Sucks. :aiwebs_00
aka kactabigun 05-11-2006, 02:00 PM They got it wrong loads of times on that movie but still ive watched it about a dozen times.
The shots on the guys speedo makes me giggle.
supramacist 05-11-2006, 03:27 PM I own the first one in the remastered version. The second wasn't as good but still watchable. I have been hoping for a third. they're fun movies to watch.
boostin89 05-11-2006, 04:04 PM Ya, they are. Like i said earlier, everyone will talk crap on 'em but everyone's gonna watch them because they're really entertaining.
aka kactabigun 05-13-2006, 09:38 AM Did you see these spy shots of the f f 3 movie
Nice motors.

boostin89 05-13-2006, 10:37 AM yeah but in one of the previes that pro drifter was like "its all about using throttle control and brake and e-brake", real drifters in real RWD cars dont ever use the ****ing e-brake. Well they do but only once in a while, a true drift champ can use just throttole and light brake faint.
aka kactabigun 05-13-2006, 04:28 PM yeah but in one of the previes that pro drifter was like "its all about using throttle control and brake and e-brake", real drifters in real RWD cars dont ever use the ****ing e-brake. Its a skill that takes alot of bottle and the right control.
Theres a big arguement on the go about auto's being no good at drifting.
In my opinion its down to the skill of the driver and how many horses you have under the hood.
Lovely to watch aswell. :respekt:
boostin89 05-13-2006, 06:51 PM for sure.
boostin89 05-14-2006, 04:58 PM I hate drifting in automatics, it feels to uncontrolled to me.
boostin89 05-15-2006, 04:49 PM Off Topic, I know, but has anyone seen that new mustang commercial with the father and son out driving? That kind of stuff is so much fun.
dizahl 05-17-2006, 05:18 PM I own the first one in the remastered version. The second wasn't as good but still watchable. I have been hoping for a third. they're fun movies to watch.
storyline sucks sweet cars horrible graphics and no the us cars can go fast people just think 140 is impressive it is marketed towards people that don't know much about cars like Mike but I'm trying to change that. by the way whats up friends from the other side of the pond. oh yeah all you vets on the forum I'm back bitches.
dizahl 05-17-2006, 05:21 PM in a manual no e brake, use in rare times with a auto.
boostin89 05-17-2006, 05:35 PM Ya, i know. I dont get why people use ebrake w/ a manny, I love just using tranny for drifts it feels more controled.
the don 05-18-2006, 04:16 PM Ya, i know. I dont get why people use ebrake w/ a manny, I love just using tranny for drifts it feels more controled.
can they drive better than you then.."tranny" in the uk it's a bloke that dresses like a woman and has operations to enhance the body".
i personnaly rather diff lock but as the uk is famous for its winding roads.. 90%of roads in the uk are like the twisty street in frisco but not as severe
boostin89 05-18-2006, 04:32 PM lol, i guess so. It means the same here, i didnt think about it. Im a big fan of a good old down shift, spin-drift, up shift regain it. Thats my style, i used to use the ebrake when i was messing around in a fwd car. :aiwebs_03
supramacist 05-18-2006, 06:12 PM I don't know anything DizAll. lol, I got the pump off today. I'll Probably try to take it a part. It seems pretty solid, I'm not sure of how it stopped working. It was a wiley bitch though., Power steering pump. sheesh. I still haven't gotten the pulley off yet.
HOTSUP 05-18-2006, 11:12 PM I loved F&F1 that much that I bought an original DVD of it. Didn't like No.2 as much & someone gave me a copied disk of it. Looking forward to No.3 even though I'm that much into drifting I think it will be worth a watch.
Also looking forward to the release of the animation "CARS", looks pretty funny.
I've trained my 4 yr old boy to be a hoon like me & he can't wait to see it.
boostin89 05-19-2006, 09:28 AM Cars looks so damm good, i really wanna see that one. It a kids movie but it'l good for car guys im sure.
Turbo-Joe 05-19-2006, 05:55 PM my friends S14 is FNF3. he got paid decent for them to use it.
boostin89 05-19-2006, 09:38 PM ya i heard about that, they did a casting call thing. Was his RHD?
Turbo-Joe 05-20-2006, 11:09 PM nope. just a US S14 with a SR20. real nice car. quitty quick. edges out my supra a bit.
boostin89 05-21-2006, 12:06 AM Thats cool, Have you heard about the new sr25 trend yet?
Turbo-Joe 05-21-2006, 12:23 PM I dont even know what that is. What is it and is it worth it or just a trend... I'd call SR20 swap trendy, but the motor has alot of potential so it's not hard to see why alot of people use it in their 240.
boostin89 05-21-2006, 12:52 PM Yeah sr20 is trendy, but its also a great idea. I'd take an sr20 any day, but from what i've been hearing some people are starting to use something called an sr25 i think TT its somewhat of a rumor, but i gues if it really exists its gonna be the next trend. I like 240's and the sr20 is the cherry on top, for me at least. Good stuff.
HOTSUP 05-22-2006, 08:27 PM My local Supra club is organising a night out at the drive in theatre to see F & F 3.
SHWEET!! I'm down, I'm definitely down! (George Costanza style)
supramacist 05-23-2006, 02:36 AM george costanza style..........., you slay me dude. drive in movie theaters are quickley becoming a thing of the past here in the states.
HOTSUP 05-23-2006, 05:31 AM george costanza style..........., you slay me dude. drive in movie theaters are quickley becoming a thing of the past here in the states.
From the 1960's to the mid 80's there were about 25 drive in's still operating in Melbourne where I live. They all died out except for 2 which were reopened & very nicely upgraded & have become very popular again but I don't think it would go very well with more than 2 in the running. But generally they have died out all over the country. They show the latest release movies at the same time as the cinemas.
There's prolly gonna be about 20 to 30 supras there on the night plus a big cruise to the drive in.
Can\t wait!!
boostin89 05-23-2006, 01:19 PM It would be cool if we all lived a little closer, cuz we would make one badass supra crew. lol. :burnrubbe :firedevil :headbang:
aka kactabigun 05-23-2006, 02:53 PM Me and the Tafiosa's would make a bad ass crew aswell.
Killa would get my vote for Chief like.
I dont think there has ever been a drive-in pictures near me.
I cant imagine a one ever being opened in the near future eigther.
It would end up a glorified knocking shop, over here.
Good idea like.:snork_lac
dizahl 05-23-2006, 06:23 PM :bs: you don't have to lye to make friends joe.
dizahl 05-23-2006, 06:32 PM sr20's are overrated every body and their moms have one now the RB motors are where it's at, hopefully my s13 will have one this fall. and i'm tired of only seeing s14s in movies they need some s13 and mk3s, and 1st and 2nd gen rx-7s. shit never mind thats my drive way hell i even got the euro scene covered with the jetta or bora for those across the pond.
boostin89 05-23-2006, 07:34 PM Ya, I'd be very surprised if F&F3 didnt have an s13 in there, because its the most popular drift car out there... and will soon the the most popular car of any racing type. Everybody has one now, I still like em, but they're a little played out for my tastes.
HOTSUP 05-23-2006, 09:05 PM It would be cool if we all lived a little closer, cuz we would make one badass supra crew. lol. :burnrubbe :firedevil :headbang:
Absolutely, dood!! :rock_band
supramacist 05-23-2006, 09:14 PM Diz and I just keep missing eachother on here (You f ucker) I just said the same thing as hotsup in the bhg thread. F uck it man that's what I say. drive It like your'e trying to outrun the cops everychance you get!!!!!!! This way there no regrets when hg blows. If you are all the time babying your shit and don't go on green and it blows anyway....., wich it will sooner or later, It's gonna suck 10x harder than if you were driving like a bat out of hell.
supramacist 05-23-2006, 09:19 PM Besides even if you just fixed it. Your'e going to brake down next week any how. I am under mine while it is on ramps daily. I am under the hood....., f uck probably 6/8 times a day. I am always doing something. I am so just itching to tear the engine out of this car. Rigtht now my largest problem is oil in the engine coolant compartment??????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????
dizahl 05-24-2006, 05:09 PM i remember when i first got my s13 nobody knew what it was same thing with my supra, now there's parts galore for them times are changing in my favor now.
boostin89 05-24-2006, 05:24 PM I feel you, double edged sword. More idiots are gonna buy supras and silvias, but with that downside there are tons more parts for us now. When F&F1 came out the honda aftremarket blew up crazy.
supramacist 05-25-2006, 12:33 AM And when they come to look at my supra and see how clean it is inside and out they will give me what I want for it......, or I will keep racing it.
dizahl 05-25-2006, 08:14 PM with or without the oil leak? they'll be too busy watching me blowing you away.
supramacist 05-27-2006, 05:01 AM YO.
It's not leaking,
It's not leaking oil like it was. I think some of the things that toyota did are just mending. It's sounds better, it breathes better....., but, the power stearing pump is going out. yes an oe replacement. 3 days old. I have gone through the tsrm, I know where they went wrong. I have to wait till"if I am lucky, Sunday", but Monday @ the latest. uuuugh!!!! I am going to tear this one down into itty bitty pieces, And give it back to them torn aprt......., this way I Will know to check the guys @ advance auto parts work out before I put it on again.
dizahl 05-29-2006, 08:17 PM they have a good return policy just sucks you have to do it again.
supramacist 05-30-2006, 02:09 AM I tore the core down all the way with the tsrm. I had the pulley I had to take back up there again and have removed and the bracket behind that, wich I had already loosened. I am going to have to eat the connection fee and get you on the phone with my bro while he is here, He is the saturn sc2 I metioned. In another thread ofcourse. Any how dude, we won the case, we settled for an undisclosed amount. I rebuilt the new reman'd " Pstump " is what I have dubbed it. I will be able to get all of the everything I need to do the bhg all by myself. Valve cover gasket's, Y pipe gaskets new plugs and wires. Some of you that have any suggestions about platinum or uridium spark plugs feel free to pm me. If it doesn't go for a head gasket it's definitley going for a new fan shroud, I have a condom wrapped over the power steering res.. the caps a toyota part, supposedly.
HOTSUP 06-17-2006, 06:41 PM Well we had our F&F3 night at the drive in on Fri 16th June, a night of no rain but quite cool temp wise. 4 Supras in total attended which included mine the other 3 were A80's (all silver in colour). Great movie I think just as good as 1 if not better. looking forward to No.4 with Diesel. A really good surprise ending. Some great drifting in the movie also & a pretty good story that kept you interested.
One of the GF's of the A80 dudes asked me "Do you have a Supra"? When I pointed my A70 out to her she said "Is that also a Supra"? "I thought they all looked like this"! Pointing at the A80. TYPICAL!!
One good thing about the drive in is that you can SMS your food order to the cafe & they bring it to your car, COOL!!
After the movie we took a drive to the nearest Macca's & on the way was stopped by a booze bus (breathaliser test). While I had to participate in the test the other 3 Supras got waved through with no testing?? What up with that. The cops were wasting their time with me because I don't drink anyway.
supramacist 06-17-2006, 08:31 PM IMO......, drifting has been around for a while but has maintained a sub-culture status. I think everyone is going to have the cops looking at our cars because of the young punks that don't know shit about driving. Dizahl is right about only one thing......, the fact that I am not a mechanic is nothing short of the truth, but I am coming along and I have torn down and I will rebuild......, I just hope dizahl has unlimited anytime minutes. :aiwebs_01
supramacist 06-17-2006, 08:33 PM F UCK the police. :middlefin
aka kactabigun 06-27-2006, 03:34 PM F UCK the police. :middlefin
Thats very grown up that!
Ive not seen the film but read on other forums that its a load of shit.
Picture houses near me take your money. Sit you down. With your masive cup of pop and shit pop corn. Then watch adverts for like half an hour............................bolloxs. Give me a pirate copy anyday. ( Im not tight fisted or nowt) Actors get paid waaaay to much!
supramacist 06-27-2006, 04:20 PM It's no less juvenile than whinning because :9: actors bring home more than you. Get off your ass and get out there. It's still a job. People always knowing you and sticking camera's in your face. F ucking actors, just trying to give your ass a moment of clarity to forget about messing with people on other forums or what porn you can download for free. asshole. :snork_ham

Boostadikt 07-04-2006, 12:51 PM f&f 3 i thought was a pretty good show it didn't have all the bullshit like 1 that they didn't know what they were talking about. i do hate how it markets what is in the movie 240's will sky rocket after this movie and the formula D circuit will become huge..... but what can you do its holywood and they market towards everyday people not real car enthusiasts. the first thing i heard after that movie was people asking what the vielside rx-7 was. the movie was 98% nissans so it will be interesting to see prices. me and my friend are currently working on a RB26 swap into an s14. prolly sell it for 4 times what we paid after this.
supramacist 07-04-2006, 04:50 PM I actually saw it this last weekend. It's a prefect date movie as the story line is more about the new guy and this oriental quim. The racing that there was..., . Was straight up and solid but there just wasn't enough of it. It didn't focus on the cars enough at all, period.
The highlight of the movie is at the very end the kid jumps into a car and Vin Diesel is driving.

dizahl 07-05-2006, 06:57 PM i liked the movie.
supramacist 07-06-2006, 04:35 AM when the hell did you see it????? I thought you were the bid dymler chrysler guy???? Or was it ford you f uck? it's hard to say, I'm just glad you got out from under that rock and saw of the world. You know shelly is banging all the grape farmers for free bottles of wine and whatever kodiak she can get her lips around. The movie was making me fight to stay awake through it and the last time that happened was Robin Williams in flubber. I finally said f uck it and took a nap.
supramacist 07-06-2006, 04:36 AM call me when you get a chance..., I know your'e working long days and have to adhear to a strict time frame, but when ever you get a few minutes.

dizahl 07-10-2006, 08:01 PM i'm a chevy and mopar fan by the way old school that is but you know my passion is in the import scene. your such a dick mike. :punch:
supramacist 07-11-2006, 03:05 AM maybe..., but it was you that swallowed, slut. I just finished all of that paper work we were talking about while you were passing out. I don't know what you do I think you are up on the sherm or something about half the time. It's just after 4 am, If I rung you would you hear it..., NO. If you don't get ass from shelly like within 15 minutes of getting home...., start looking for wine bottles. And empty cans of grizzly or wolf, lol lmao moter f ucker.
