Hey, now that i have a jdm N/A in my 87 now, can i build a turbo motor with my old block? I was gonna get the block machined and new bottom end with some Turbo pistons and hopefully boost it. Can it happen ? what would i have to change and what Not ?

Thats a big job, and i dont see what you'll gain by doing it.

Theres bound to be some sweet 7mgte engines out there for working on.

Good luck anyway. :beer2:

not me....., sorry.
If it comes right down to it....., I honestly don't know if I would want the turbo. I mean obviously, who wouldn't right? I'm hoping to drive this car the way it is for another 3 years before something like this. I would consider going gte.

well i like the turbo's. i just want to drive my car and get up some stuff for a turbo motor while im driving it. so since i got the old block i can machine it and get parts and not have to worry about how im gonna get around.

As for those two bolts...., you may need to remove the starter.
My brother buys that type of thing from ebay all of the time.

I use old toothbrushes that my family is done with to scrub on my engine. Although I haven't done it lately. I didn't intend for that to sound harsh and it appears you didn't take it that way. I need to scrub mine as well. My dogs ate my water hose over the winter. Stupid bitches. I can't do a quarter of the things I normally do at home with a full functional hose.

well, I pulled the oil pan off my old engine and the bearings are pretty well worn out. looks like the previous owner ran the engine low on oil alot. The crank isnt in that good of shape either. :middlefin It really needs alot of work. I can grab 2 of the 6 rods and move them more then half an inch. I did get the JDM engine in the car without too much work. Gonna finish it on weds and hopefully start it up and it runs right.
